We have started development of the Bluebox-80, Bluebox-220 and Bluebox-330 hot air turbines, rated at 80 kWe, 220 kWe and 330 kWe.
All three use Bowman’s ETC-1000 turbogenerators (two in the 220, three in the 330) and Mk5 power electronics. The Bluebox-80 uses an uprated Bowman turbocharger. The 220 and 330 use the Napier NT1-10A.
Thermodynamic simulation is complete. Turbomachinery and power electronics are selected. Mechanical design of structure, air pipework, lubrication, cooling and controls is nearing completion.
