Bowman have already installed a large number of E-Turbocompound systems on a number of different engines.
We’ve just finished a package of work for Bowman Power, looking at the benefits of adding turbogenerators for a number of different gas and Diesel engines. The work involved both thermodynamic simulations using a Modelica engine model previously developed by Bluebox Energy configured with Bowman’s new KTG turbine maps and calibrated with practical testing in Australia on a Caterpillar 3516. Engines modelled include:

This work has enabled them to increase the number of engines they can offer, some projects of which have already started. We are now working with Bowman to develop this area of work, with Bluebox taking the lead for installing Turbocompound systems for clients that have only 5-20 engines in their fleet.
